The General Committee are pleased to announce that the bar will be reopening on Saturday 22nd August, from 3pm - 6pm. It will also be open on Sunday 23rd August, from 3pm - 6pm.

To ensure the safety of our staff and members, a COVID-19 Risk Assessment has been carried out. The following protocols have been put in place for the safety of staff and members. PLEASE READ THESE CAREFULLY BEFORE COMING DOWN TO THE CLUB.

Everyone must enter by the Wet entrance door and leave by the Back door. Anyone who is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms i.e. a cough, fever, loss of taste or smell or who has been in contact with someone experiencing these symptoms or who has had a positive Covid-19 test MUST NOT ENTER THE PREMISES.

One person at a time will be permitted to use the lift, except members of the same household or social bubble, who may enter together.

Hands Free sanitisers have been placed at various points throughout the premises. EVERYONE MUST SANITISE THEIR HANDS BEFORE ENTERING THE PREMISES.

Members should regularly sanitise whilst in the Clubhouse building and on leaving Premises.

The seating within the club has been arranged to maintain social distancing. Everyone, except members of the same household or social bubble, must distance where possible. Please do not rearrange the furniture. The Lounge (General Room), Committee room & Deck are all available, with limited seating. Please be aware that if there is no inside seating available, you will be required to take your food and drink outside.

Members wishing to use the hardstanding /or Club frontage areas should bring their own fold away chairs. Please ensure outdoor seating is set out to maintain social distancing and it is not obstructing the dinghy rigging or storage zones.

Staff will be asking all members and their guests to sign in and to provide contact details. This is a requirement for "Track and Trace", should anyone who has been on the premises test positive for COVID-19. In the event of a member testing positive the Commodore should be contacted (Francis Rock 07808720657). All information will be treated sensitively.

Orders should be placed at the bar and payment should be made by card where possible.

Social distancing of 2 metres should be adhered to when queuing at the bar to place an order.

Bar staff will deliver your drinks order to the serving hatch for collection. Members must not congregate at the bar.

At present, alcohol can only be consumed inside the premises if purchased with the Meal Deal.

Members who would like the alcoholic Meal Deal of a burger/hotdog and a pint/wine for £5 should pay for this at the bar, contactless or cash, where they will be given their drink of choice along with a "receipt" which they will present to the barbecue servers to receive their food. The receipt should stay with the customer so as they can buy more alcohol at the bar if they wish. If you are purchasing the Burger and Soft Drink Meal Deal, you will be able to pay at the BBQ, as usual.

Any alcohol purchased without the meal deal must be consumed outside.

At this time Members will be asked to return empty glasses to a designated area and place rubbish in bins provided. Cleaning wipes will be available and we would ask that members wipe down table surfaces when leaving.

Plastic screens have been installed at the bar for the protection of the staff and customers.

When not behind the bar, Staff will be wearing PPE for the protection of our customers. A strict cleaning regime of bar surfaces, till, card machine will be in operation. Tables will be sanitised as soon as they become vacant.

Staff will be required to wash/sanitise their hands after collecting glasses and before moving on to another task.

A "one in, one out" system will be in place. Sanitisers will be provided to clean the toilet surface and handles etc. The touch top bins have been replaced by pedal bins, to avoid hand contamination.

Male and female toilets will be open with restricted cubicles cordoned off.

Given the limitation of cubicles, these must not be used by sailors or kayakers for the purpose of changing clothes.

The Training Room, Kitchen, Changing Rrooms and Snooker Room will be kept locked. This is to reduce the risk of surfaces becoming contaminated.

Signage has been put up around the Club to ensure everyone on the premises is aware of the safety procedures.

A heightened cleaning regime will be in place of all surfaces throughout the premises. The safety of our members and staff is our priority

Burger & Pint of Beer £5.00 (alternatives include Cider or small bottle of wine) - Pay at the bar and show receipt at the BBQ
